I wanted to work with tried and tested frameworks so that I could focus my time on game design and development rather than frequent updates and migrations. Unity’s implementation was not production-ready while both Svelto and Entitas had been used in released games. The project that I am working on now (ISLAND_NAME_HERE) also didn’t need the immediate performance boost or other benefits that DOTS offers. Hope that answered your question!
